Our tasting room is not just a place to get food and beer; it’s a place to enjoy, learn about and experience our unique style. A Paradox server is an enthusiastic guide to our tasting room experience, and to the world of beer in general, who will help excite visitors and guide them toward the optimum experience with our products and our facility.Job responsibilities:Greet customers warmly, educate them about our products, and help them make purchase and tasting decisions based on their preferences.Provide efficient and attentive customer service to all visitors to the tasting room, and work to ensure the comfort and safety of all patrons.Stock bar and tasting room.Check identification and ascertain that patrons are old enough to legally purchase and consume alcohol, and monitor patrons’ alcohol intake. Ensure that patrons are in proper condition to be served (not intoxicated) before dispensing or selling alcohol.Serve beverages (soda, draft and bottled beer).Serve food and snacks to seated patrons.Take orders from patrons or other serving staff and collect payment/give change for food, drinks and merchandise.Control inventory by using the POS system.Upsell merchandise to tasting room patrons.Maintain the quality of draught beer by ensuring that all elements used to dispense and consume the beer are clean and in optimum serving condition. Clean and sanitize glasses, utensils, dishes and bar equipment.Clean and stock restroom areas.Clean (and, if appropriate, sanitize) the tasting room, including serving areas, work areas, waste receptacles and tables.Limit problems and liability related to intoxication by getting customers to stop drinking before they reach intoxication and persuading/helping them to order transportation if they seem to be unable to drive.Complete closing duties, including but not limited to: cleaning the tasting room, balancing the cash drawer, washing dishes, restocking merchandise and maintaining restroom areas.Communicate positively with customers, coworkers and management.Willingness to serve and support our company at Colorado festivals and tasting events preferred, but not required.Job Requirements:All Tasting Room employees must have an attitude oriented toward good customer service and a positive workplace atmosphere.Must be currently Cicerone Beer Server certified or complete the program within 120 days of beginning the job.Passion for and knowledge of craft beer.Knowledge of Paradox Beer and general beer information.Ability to monitor tasting room patrons' intoxication level.Ability to use or learn to use the POS system.Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with tasting room visitors.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Handle cash, dispense product and take payments accurately.Job Type: Part-time, seasonal-to-hire.
